Photos from the road

Most of the photos on this site were taken while travelling. I like that photography gives me a reason to slow down and pay attention to a place instead of only passing through it.

I am usually drawn to landscapes, light, weather, quiet streets, and small details that explain how a place feels. A photo does not need to be dramatic to be worth keeping. Sometimes it is just a record of where I stood, what the air felt like, or what I noticed at that moment.

My main camera is a Sony Alpha 7 III. I usually pair it with the Tamron 28-75mm F2.8, Tamron 17-28mm F2.8, or Sony FE 55mm F1.8 ZA, depending on the trip and how much I want to carry. The 28-75mm covers most situations, the 17-28mm comes out more for buildings or Milky Way photos, and the 55mm is the lens I reach for when I want to shoot street scenes or portraits.

I also use an iPhone often, because the best camera is sometimes just the one already in my hand. I used to fly DJI Mavic Air and DJI Mavic Air 2 drones too, but I do not have them now. This photo section is not meant to be a polished portfolio. I want it to feel more like a visual archive: places I have been, things I noticed, and images that still make me want to look twice.
